What is Decor+Design?

It is a platform that allows users to browse design photos, read design stories, create lookbooks, and find interior designers within their style and budget.

How does it work?

Users set up their profile through a quick and secure system to browse thousands of pictures posted by both professionals and users. Users can post their own home design photos to share with others who love beautiful designs, and also receive questions and comments for their creativity from the community.

Users can also create lookbooks of home designs and share it with friends. They can share their lookbook with an interior designer on the D+D platform to help them find a designer that meets their decor style.

Lastly, users are able to use our advanced filtering system to search for an interior designer that meets their style and budget needs, and book their first consultation directly on our platform.

Who are the interior designers on this platform?

Our platform has both industry and independent interior designers providing their services to meet the needs of our diverse user population. All interior design professionals agree to hold license to perform services in their state and provide insurance policy for any miscommunication or unfortunate events. We have an easy to use messaging system to allow users and professionals to communicate directly with each other. And our convenient payment system supports many currencies. Decor+Design will collect payments, and will only release payments once project is in progress or completed. All invoices will always be available to be viewed at anytime by the user.

How much does it cost?

Our platform is free to use to browse and save photos, read design stories, ask for advice, search for designers and purchase home decor items. If you choose to hire a designer, you will be provided that specific designer’s price quote depending on your project. Each designer offers a variety of packages at different prices. Typically, an online package is cheaper than an in-person package.

How much is Decor+Design’s service fee?

Like most other websites, if you do book an interior designer through our platform, we keep a small fee of that transaction to help cover the costs of running our platform.

How does Decor+Design process payments?

Our payment system is designed to make processing payments very simple. The user/customer will pay Decor+Design when an interior design project is booked. Then, Decor+Design will release the payment to the designer once the project is finished.

How do I get my home featured on “Home Design of the Week”?

We chose to feature some of the home designs and stories based on the quality of photos provided and the quality of the space. We will contact you if we wish to feature your space. To maximize your chances of being selected, make sure your photos are bright and free of clutter to really show off your design chops!

I am a designer, what are the benefits of signing up for Decor+Design?

Designers who sign up with Decor+Design get free advertising to our design-enthused customers, with the freedom to customize their own design packages. Designers set the price, location (in-home or online), and contents of their packages. Decor+Design does not require an annual fee to use, and instead charges a small fee only when a customer purchases a package.
